June 2006 marked the first ever site-wide Altador cup tournament. NeoLodge.com was one of the few sites to have extensive coverage of this event, and will continue to hold this information to commemorate this landmark in Neopets history.

June 2nd TNT released exciting news of a new tournament. We were given a week to choose a team of the sixteen represented Neopian worlds that we would help lead to victory. We were given precious little to go upon: the twelve team pages, a quiz that recommends which team for us to go on, and a trailer. Other than that we were left to wait impatiently for whatever may come.

On June 8th, 2006 the game Yooyuball was released along with the first match-ups. Each round lasted three days and while the winning teams continued in the competition the losing teams were kicked out. The members of these teams, however, had the opportunity to change teams, and eventually the teams were narrowed down to the Haunted Woods vs. the Darigan Citadel.

Another feature of that year was the sitewide staff tournament. In the office the staff members played three games against each other, best two out of three. Unsurprisngly The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy won in the name of Roo Island. All of that year's standings and winners are displayed below.
