There are certain Neopets that you cannot create normally. These are called Limited Edition Pets and obtaining one can be challenging.

Limited Edition Pets
Limited Edition Pets are Neopets that have a limited number in Neopia. For example, there are only 30,000 Cybunnies in Neopia and you cannot create any more until TNT releases more. They release 10,000 Draiks here 20,000 Tonus there, normally on the pet birthdays. However, it isn’t unheard of for a couple thousand Chombies to show up on a random day. Here is a list of all the Limited Edition Pets in Neopia:

Restricted Pets

Restricted Pets aren’t normal pets. They have a special secret, and usually expensive, way to get them. Some require items, some require a few extra clicks, all of which are worth it to get the Neopet you want.

How to get a Krawk

There are 5 ways to gain access to a Krawk:

1. The Lab Ray
You can gain access to the lab ray by collecting all 9 pieces of the secret laboratory map.

2. Potions
There are two types of potions sold at Kauvara’s Magic Shop: morphing potion and transmogrification.   Transmogrification Potions will always turn pets into mutant species, while Morphing Potions change pets into specific colors and species. Both are extremely rare, but can turn you pet into almost any kind of Krawk available.

3. The Neopian Pound
Although it would be very VERY unlikely to find any Limited Edition Pet there, sometimes if you search long enough you might find one in the pound.

4. Magical Plushie
Sold at the toy shop, you can buy a Magical Krawk Plushie. When your pet plays with it,  your pet will change into that species.  But remember, any plushie name that does not have magical in it, will not work.

5. The Fungus Caves
Of course, the most popular way to get a Krawk is by taking your pet to the fungus caves.  You must acquire a Krawk petpet and attach it to one of your pets.  You must make sure that you don’t have 4 pets or it won’t work.  When you go to the fungus caves that are located at the world of Krawk Island, you feed some of the fungus to the petpet and it magically transforms into a fully fledged Krawk.

How to get a Grundo

To get a Grundo, you have to go to the Space Station and enter the Space Adoption Agency. You can get a Grundo in seven colors; three more than the regular pets: Solar Red, Galactic Green, Stellar Blue, Cosmic Yellow, Meteoric Purple, Planetoid Brown and Plasma White. Other than that, it’s the same format as getting a regular pet.

 

How to get a Draik

There are two ways to get a Draik. The first way is to wait until Neopets releases it as a Limited Edition Neopet every September 9. The second is to get a hold of a draik egg, sold at Merifoods. Be warned they are rarity 99, and are classified as a food, thus you can feed them to your pet. But don’t waste your neopoints. Once you have a Draik Egg, go to the Draik Nest to hatch it.
