Installing Fonts in Mac OS X

The first step is to download a font. A great place to find fonts is dafont.com. Once you've found the font you want and downloaded it, the font archive will most likely be on your desktop unless of course, you've changed your default settings, in which case you should know where to find your downloaded files.

Font Archive

Next get the font file from the archive.

Double click the archive to unzip it, and feel free to delete the .zip file.

Font File

Now you have the actual font file.

Finder in the Dock

Choose the Finder in the dock to open a new Finder window.

Navigate to your Fonts folder. Hard Drive > Library > Fonts.

 Fonts Folder

Drag the font file from the desktop to your fonts folder.

Install the Font

That's it! You're done! Simple, no?
