The Monstrous Moach starts with a difficulty of 75. This makes it difficult for inexperienced pets to defeat him. His HP increase much more quickly than those of the Ravenous Monster so unless you pet is well trained and well equipped, you may soon find yourself outstripped. Pets with higher HP will want to battle the Monstrous Moach until his HP rise so much they can no longer win. Playing with my level 3 pet with 115 HP, I was able to easily defeat him the first round or two. Once his HP neared mine it became much more difficult. The Earth Faerie ability Burrow, along with a 17lb Trout and Snowglobe Staff was an effective combination when the staff actually froze him. The remaining rounds I used the Downsize and a fierce attack. Keeping a Blue Scorchstone equipped also gave me an extra boost. Other weapons I tried and was successful with included Halo of Devilpuss, Curved Golden Staff, Thumburt's Cane, and The Astronomy Club. The Monstrous Moach likes to use a Blue Scorchstone himself, so be warned. Weapons he will pull out include Jagged Stone Sword, Ice Mirror, and Jagged Stone Spear as well as berserk attacks and use of his deadly pincers. The Neopet's Team has once again disabled the use of Sticky Hands for the duration of the plot. If you are experiencing lag in the Battledome try using your back button rather than going through all the "YOU WON!" pages. As in the past, no one can be sure there is an actual benefit to battling any opponent more than once. However, keep in mind that with the Haunted Woods Plot points were awarded even for Battledome defeats. Credit: This guide was written exclusively for NeoLodge.com by Georgie. 2007-05-1716:38:08
