The Soup Kitchen

Deep in the heart of Neopia Central, among the many player shops, is a sight that is rarely found in the vast world of Neopia. There a line of Neopets stretch as far as the eye can see. Upon approaching the front of the line, the mystery is solved, for you see a kind looking faerie hunched over a hot cauldron.

That faerie is the Soup Faerie, and there is only one of her in all Neopia. She spends her days and nights bustling about making soup to feed the hundreds and thousands of hungry Neopets who come to her every day in hopes of getting a bite to eat.

There is a catch however. The Soup Faerie will only feed the pets of really poor Neopians. This means that anyone who has 3,000 Neopoints or more will not be able to give their pets a free meal. Watch out, this amount includes everything in both your bank AND your shop till, so be sure to watch both those amounts for a number that adds up to more then 3,000.

Your Neopet can be fed many different types of soups, such as:

  • Mulligatawny Soup
  • Vegetable Soup
  • Golden Juppie Soup
  • Negg Soup
  • Bowl Mushroom and Chokato Soup
  • Starberry Soup
  • Turnip Broth
  • Potato and Leek Soup
  • Asparagus and Chutney soup
  • Chicken and Vegetable Soup
  • Cornupepper Soup
  • Invisible Soup

Alternatively, the message that is displayed on your screen may not tell you the kind of soup at all, but will rather display a message such as That’s some fine tasting soup. Despite the lack of a soup name, your pet still has been fed.

Furthermore, no matter what kind of soup your Neopet is awarded, it will still be fed the same amount as anyone else’s Neopet would be fed, even if they had a different flavor of soup. Every bite of soup will raise a Neopet’s hunger level one notch towards being bloated, or full.

Lastly, the Soup Faerie also has her own avatar, which can be gained via a random event while feeding your Neopet in her kitchen.

Happy feeding!
