Arrr, the pirates of Krawk Island were about to do a bit o'cannon-training, but some scoundrel's stolen all their cannonballs.
Not put off by this, old Captain Pucebeard has ordered his men to use anything roughly the same size and shape as an alternative.
To play Petpet Cannonball, use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to change the angle of the cannon raising it up or down, and the Space Bar to fire. The longer the space bar is held down, the further the Petpet will fly. Get as many petpets in the bucket as possible to score points!
When the space bar is pressed and held, the power gauge located below the cannon moves up and down. The longer the space bar is held, the higher the gauge goes and the more power the petpet will be launched with. The game starts with 10 tries to fire the petpets. You gain 1 more attempt each time a petpet is successfully fired into the bucket. There are a total of 8 challenging levels in this game. Difficulty increases with each level as the cannon moves back and power speeds up.
Each Pirate Petpet has a different weight displayed below the power gauge, and gives points accordingly. The heavier petpets give more points than the lighter ones.

At the beginning of each level, the first time the space bar is pressed; a white dotted line appears only for the first try for that level. This is to help guide the petpet into the bucket. Use this shot to figure out the angle to place the cannon and how much power should be used. Use this to gauge how to line up your next shots. Use less power for the lighter petpets and more for the heavier petpets.

Level 1
On level one, if the cannon is set where the gray line on the cannon and the black line on the anchor line up, then it's just a matter of adjusting the power to get the petpets into the barrel.
A count of 3 seconds depending on how fast a player counts works fairly well as a rule, with some minor adjustments.
Level 2
Set the cannon so it lines up as shown. Once again, a count of approximately 3 seconds should be the right amount of power needed. The power bar goes approximately 2/3rd of the way up on the gauge for heavier petpets and just under halfway for lighter petpets.

Level 3
Set the cannon so the line below the lip of the cannon is in line with the black line of the ship's keel as shown on the screenshot. Again, the count is approximately 2.5 to 3 seconds for the power gauge with minor adjustments made on the first few tries. Practice does make perfect so don't give up!

Level 4
For this level, line up the cannon so it looks like it will shoot the petpet at the chain links as seen on the screenshot. The game is faster now, and the count will vary between 2 and 3 seconds.
Level 5
The cannon barely touches the wood of the pylon for this level. A count of 1.5 to 2 seconds is all that's needed depending on the weight of the petpet being fired at the barrel. Use the first shot to adjust how long the space bar needs to be pressed for the power.
Level 6
Same as level 5, the cannon is further back but that's about it. The level on the power gauge varies between ¼ and ½ depending on the weight of the petpet. The heavier petpets require more power to reach the barrel compared to the lighter petpets. This level as well as 7 and 8 are difficult but are achievable for the player who perseveres.

Levels 7 & 8
These last two levels are as difficult as the previous level. Once again, the bottom edge of the cannon's lip is level with the pylon. What makes these two levels extremely challenging is the pirate standing beside the cannon. Depending which pirate is shooting the cannon, the view can be totally obstructed which makes it difficult to set it at the right height. The image shown here can be used to help position the cannon from the top edge and bottom edge. Note at the top edge that the lip of the cannon is a few millimeters from the light blue horizon line. The biggest difference between levels 7 and 8 is the cannon is set further back and the pirate obscures the view most of the time. Good luck.
