Welcome to The Kadoatery! This is where Kadoaties go when their owners are on holiday. It's a nice place, but it doesn't take long for them to get lonely.
When the Neopet Team goes home at night and turn off the lights, the little Kadoaties begin to cry. Being afraid of the dark is not the only reason they cry, they are also hungry. Unfortunately, they are also picky eaters and know exactly what they want. They will never ask for slushies, gross foods, candy, baked goods, or any of the free foods found in the dailies. The list of what they may ask for is quite large. Methods of Feeding There are three standard methods for feeding the rather hungry Kadoaties; Safety Deposit Box (SDB), Shop Wizard (SW), and the highly recommended Inventory methods. The Inventory Method is the easiest method and the method that most Kadders (Kad Feeders) use. Choose 50 different items from the huge list of food that the Kadoaties ask for and keep it in your inventory. That way, when going to the Kadoatery there will hopefully be a Kad asking for one of the foods on hand. Choosing what to keep in your inventory from so many items is difficult. Most experienced feeders recommend keeping it simple with a mix of a variety of Chia pops and fruits. *Note* Please remember to never have more than 50 items in your inventory when feeding, this is considered cheating and you can get your inventory erased or you can be frozen. The Safety Deposit Box method is sort of like the Inventory Method except you store the items in your SDB. Most feeders keep about 500 of the requested items in their SDB. Right click to highlight the name of the requested food for the Kad. Then go to your SBD and paste it in the search box as fast as you can. Hit Enter to search for the item and click on remove one, then click on the Kadoatie asking for the item. If you're fast you have a pretty good chance of successful feeding unless someone else has it in their inventory. This method is most effective if you keep two pages open, one with the Kadoatery and the other with your SDB. The Shop Wizard method is very simple. Again have two pages open, one on the Shop Wiz and one on the Kadoatery. Use the copy and paste method again to work quickly and use the shop wiz to buy the item, but remember that some of these items are unbuyable. This feeding method can be the most expensive method since you will want to work quickly and not shop around for the lowest price. However, if you are a Premium member the Super Shop Wiz will really help you out.
Feeding the Kadoaties takes hard work, but it does not have to cost you a lot of Neopoints. Just like gaining a job at the Faerie Employment Agency, you have to move extremely fast. Knowing the kinds of food they eat will greatly assist you. The list can be found on the next pages. By buying these things ahead of time, you will already have on hand, what you know the Kadoaties like. Most if not all feeders, pre-shop for the food that they believe the Kadoaties are most likely to ask for. Some of the foods are very rare and you will not find them by using the Shop Wizard, others are cheap enough that you may have them in your SDB. Help from the Kad Neoboards You will find that the neoboards hold a lot of info. By going to the Games Chat Section you will find people willing to help. Look for a board with stars in the name. Along with a lot of friendly people, someone will continuously post the times in which you are to refresh the Kadoatery. Also check people's sigs to see if they have a time listed. The restocking usually happens about every 30-45 minutes of the hour. You need to refresh every minute on the minute for three or four times starting at the given restock time until you see the Kadoaties asking for food. There will also be mini-restocking times. If a Kad has been fed several minutes past the main restocking time, which may often happen if it is requesting a rare item, that cage will not refresh at the same time as the other cages. So if the main restocking takes place at :45 and a pet is actually fed at :50, it will refresh on it's own cycle. These times will be listed on the Kad boards as Main: xx // Mini:xx. Although going to the chat board is really easy, and the people there are extremely helpful, there are some things you may need to know. Like regular chatting sites or boards, there is a lingo that will probably make your head spin.
