It's Gwyl the Symol's first day of work at the jewel mine, and he can't wait to start unearthing gems of all kinds. Gwyl has always been a bit smaller than the other Symols, so he's especially determined to prove himself to the rest of the miners. In order to show off his mining skills, Gwyl slips away from the group and heads for the depths of the mine... where the largest, most glittering gems are hidden.

Down in the mine, Gwyl is busy stuffing his bag with jewels when a rockslide blocks some of the tunnels... leaving Gwyl trapped! Luckily for him, he has a cunning plan - the Symol will hang from a balloon and his trusty Petpetpet companion will push the balloon to safety with gusts of air from its wings. The only problem is that the passageways of the mountain are lined with many treacherous hazards. One false move will pop Gwyl's balloon, and send him and his bag of gemstones tumbling back into the deepest reaches of the mine!

How to Play
Use the mouse to control the Lightmite. Press the mouse button down to have the Lightmite flap his wings, which will guide Gwyl around the level. Collect all the gems, then head for the exit.

Colliding with hazards will lower Gwyl's health meter. The spikes on the ceiling, islands and floors all damage Gwyl's health. When the meter reaches zero, a life is lost. Lose three lives and it's game over!

Collect all the gems and head for the exit. A time bonus will be awarded for how quickly each level is finished. Level codes are awarded after each completed level so that you can continue from a later level.

Each level has a time limit and a gem indicator. When all the gems are collected, the gem counter will read */* (For example: Level One contains 7 gems; if they are all found it will read 7/7.)

Tips and Tricks

Try to keep away from walls as best as possible, they're usually lined with hazards.

If you are in a tight spot, hover the Lightmite beneath the balloon and click repeatedly; this delivers a strong gust directly upward and away from hazards.

Keep the Lightmite as close to the balloon as possible for quick and easy maneuvering around tight corners and rough spots.

The closer the Lightmite, the weaker the thrust; the farther the lightmite, the stronger the gust. Use this to your speed advantage.

Speed through a level by holding down the mouse key to deliver several powerful gusts of air at once.

If you have a flat area above a long and narrow drop, let Gwyl fall onto the flat platform then maneuver off of the flat area's edge, this will allow you to perform a completely straight drop; it's great for avoiding walls!

You can safely cross lava river walls; don't be afraid of plowing through them.
