Mika and Carassa are at it again, it seems their attic of old bric-a-brac is constantly full!
Help Mika catch the items that Carissa is throwing down from the attic. Move Mika across the screen using the left and right arrow keys and press the up arrow key to make her jump. Although this sounds easy, there are a few obstacles that must be endured, so be careful!

Many different items will be thrown by Carissa, but Mika does not want to catch all of them. The items that Mika does want to catch are:

 ItemPoint Value
   1
   2
  3
   5
  10
   50

All of the items can appear in any level, though it's much more common to see an item of higher value in later levels.

There are only two harmful items that can possibly be thrown by Carissa.  Avoid these items at all costs.

 ItemEffect
Freezes Mika for about three seconds

 Completely ends the game

When a bomb is dropped it will not blow up immediately. The thrown bomb will sit on the ground for a few seconds before blowing up, so keep Mika completely away from the bomb until it has gone off. Do not be tempted to try to catch items near an active bomb. If a piano falls on Mike, the game will end.

A good way to increase score is to win the bonus points available for each round. In order to qualify for the bonus points, Mika cannot drop any items during that level. If Mika successfully catches every item, then the bonus is awarded. Winning bonus points will double your score achieved during that round, therefore it is definitely worthwhile to try to get them.
Each round is 30 seconds long. This may not seem like a long time, but as levels increase Carissa begins to drop the items more quickly. This will make it much more difficult to catch all of the items. Thankfully there is an allowance of five items that may be dropped for each level. For example, dropping four items in each level will not cause the game to end, but it definitely is not in your best interest. Dropping more than five items in any particular level will instantly end the game.
When Mika moves back and forth she slides on the ice. She will not stop sliding one direction until the opposite direction key is pressed. For example, if Mika moves to the left to catch an umbrella, quickly press the right key when she is directly underneath it. This technique may take some practice before it can be used effectively.
The falling speed of an item is completely random. Many times Carissa will try to trick Mika by dropping an item slowly and then following it by a fast falling item. If this occurs, jump and catch the closest item and then hurry to catch the other item. If that's simply not possible then choose the item of greater value.
Tips to Win
  • Keep an eye on Carassa to see where the next items are going to drop and move Mika accordingly.
  • If there is no possible way to catch two items, always attempt to catch the item with the greatest point value.
  • If Mika is on one side of a dropped, active bomb and an item is thrown on the other side of the bomb then Mika can  jump over the bomb, but be careful! It may explode, so take the risk wisely.
  • Do NOT try to get an item falling underneath a piano. There's a very small chance that Mika will be able to move out of the way in time, it's definitely not worth the risk.
  • Jumping to get an item can be beneficial, but normally it is not. It is suggested that Mika only jump for items in later levels, because jumping makes it very difficult to control Mika and can be a bit of a time waster.
  • Try to pay attention to the timer. The game ends immediately after time runs out even if items are falling. Therefore if there are only three seconds left and a coin is falling slowly, try to jump up to get it, and disregard any other items that have no chance of dropping before time runs out.
  • Sliding on the ice tends to be a big issue in the game so practice moving Mika. For example, if a piano is falling and Mika is unable to stop sliding towards it she could easily run into it. Prevent this from happening by practicing the technique mentioned in the guide so she can be easily controlled.
  • It's important to know how many points each item is worth, because then it will be easy to determine which items Mika definitely wants to catch.
  • Try to get bonus points whenever possible! Remember, it doubles the points scored in the round, which can really be quite a bit.
  • Type frozensnowflake which will allow six (6) items to fall instead of five (5)
A score of about 2,600 is ordinarily enough for a trophy.
