300 NP per 100 points

Choose your Zurroball, and then see how long you can keep it in the air by clicking on it.
Very simple really! Do tricks such as the Boomerang and Left Zurro to earn bonus points.
You can only collect the points by hitting the Zurroball over the red line.
Try and accumulate as many points as possible before you do this.

The goal of this game is to keep the ball in the air for as long as possible. Use the mouse to click on the ball, making it bounce and helping it to stay in the air. If the ball hits the ground it’s no longer in play.

Before the game begins you must choose a ball. There are six different balls to choose from. All of the balls vary in level of control, weight, and bounciness. These factors can greatly affect game play. Even though some of the balls may not be recommended to use, it’s always a good idea to try all of them out. It may work better for your particular style of playing than it did for others.

Zurroball This ball isn’t too bouncy and is easy to control. Many tricks can easily be done with it. This is the perfect ball for beginners as well as practicing tricks and techniques.

Snot Ball This ball is relatively easy to control, but it is pretty bouncy. It’s rather small and because of that it can be difficult to click on. It is a bit slimy (it’s a snot ball after all!) which can cause it to slip out of your control at times. Beginners should not use this ball; in fact, most people should refrain from using it.

Metal Ball This ball is not bouncy at all and can be very difficult to control. It’s a very heavy ball which makes it hard to keep it from hitting the ground. Many clicks are needed to keep this ball in the air and to get it above the red sensor for points. However, this can be good for advanced players who are trying to accomplish tricks such as the grounder.

Energy Ball This ball is very bouncy and relatively difficult to control. The Energy Ball is so bouncy that it makes it near impossible to use when doing tricks. Only use this ball if for some reason you want a ball that bounces around a lot, but doesn’t do tricks.

Eye Ball This ball is very bouncy and can be difficult to control at times. It’s one of the heavier balls, which can make it hard to keep it in the air. As this ball begins to bounce it becomes faster and more difficult to control. It can be used effectively as long as it’s kept in control, but that is very hard to do. This ball is not recommended for anyone to use.

There is another, secret ball in the game. Getting this ball is very simple. On the main Zurroball screen you will see a Grundo in a spacesuit spinning around. Click on the blue N badge on his space suit. This will immediately begin the game using the secret Grundo Ball.

Grundo Ball This ball is not too bouncy, and it’s fairly light which makes it very easy to control. It’s also larger than the other balls making it easier to click on. This is a good ball for anyone to use.

Scoring

Points are scored by clicking on the ball and keeping it in the air. In order to actually have the accumulated points added to your score, the ball must be bounced higher than the red sensors glowing at the top of the screen. The points will automatically be added once the ball has gone over these sensors.

There is no limit on the number of times the ball can go above the sensors during the game. It’s not possible to click on the ball when it is above the red sensors, therefore you must wait for the ball to drop below them before clicking on it again.

There are tricks that can be performed to achieve higher scores. They vary in point value. Practicing these tricks will help you to be able to perform them with accuracy. The tricks, how to do them and their point values are:

  • Freestyle is by far the easiest trick to perform. Every click made on the ball will count as a freestyle. This trick is worth 1 point.
  • Right Zurro is performed when the ball is bounced off of the right side of the screen. It’s relatively easy to do and is worth 1.5 points.
  • Left Zurro is performed when the ball is bounced off of the left side of the screen. Just like the Right Zurro, this is relatively easy to do and is also worth 1.5 points.
  • Boomerang is performed when the ball is bounced off one wall, clicked once and then bounces off the opposite wall. This is worth 5 points.
  • Around the World is performed when the ball is bounced off of one wall and then it immediately, with no clicking, bounces off of the opposite wall. This is worth 10 points.
  • Grounder requires almost perfect timing and can take some practice. The ball must touch the ground, and then be clicked right away to bounce it back up into the air. If the timing is wrong the ball will be lost. This trick is worth 10 points.

The only time a ball can touch the ground and still be in play, is if a Grounder is accomplished.  If the ball hits the ground and is not clicked in time to make a Grounder, the ball is out of play. There are a limit of three balls to be used in the game. Once all of these balls are gone the game is over.

Clicks This box shows interesting information, though it is not extremely important to pay attention to. In this box it shows three things regarding clicks on the ball:

  • Best is the highest number of clicks made before bouncing the ball over the red sensors. For example, if the ball was clicked on 16 times before it was hit above the sensors then 16 would be shown under Best, until a higher number is reached.
  • Last is the number of clicks made before the ball was bounced over the red sensor  on the previous play.
  • Current shows the number of clicks the player is making up until the ball is bounced above the sensors. It will automatically go up with each click you make. When the ball is bounced over the red sensors this number will move to Last and it will start counting again.

Tips to Win

  • Pay attention to the ball’s shadow, especially when attempting to do a grounder. It will show where the ball is landing, which better prepares you for clicking.
  • After practicing doing the grounder and getting good at it, try to do multiple grounders at once. Don’t just do one grounder and then bounce the ball above the red sensors. It is easier to do multiple grounders and only have to bring the ball above the red sensors once.
  • Using a slower computer will make the game easier.
  • Clicking directly in the center of the ball will make the it go straight up instead of bouncing in a random direction. Doing this should make it easier to control the ball.
  • Having the volume on during this game may be beneficial to you. When completing a trick you will hear a sound. Volume is especially helpful when doing a grounder because when it’s completed there will be a beep.
  • Playing the game on full screen is easiest; the ball gets larger, which of course makes it easier to click on.
  • Remember to periodically bounce the ball over the red sensors; if you forget you will not have any points.
  • Concentrate fully on the game and practice to increase your skill.
  • A minimum score of 334 points is required in order to get 1000 neopoints.

A score of 5,360 is generally needed to obtain a trophy.
