Two mischievious Grundos in the space station have set up a game - Splat-A-Sloth. A sock that looks remarkably like Sloth will come firing out the end of their tube, and its your job to hit him with a rolled up copy of the Neopian Times. You only get one go at it... so what are you waiting for .... Splat That Sloth!!!

Splat-A-Sloth is one of the remarkably easier games on Neopets. It can be hard to get used to it at first, but after you get comfortable, you'll be racking up high scores in no time.

The only control in this game is the spacebar. When you see the Sloth sock on the slide out of the tube, hit the spacebar to splat it with your Neopian Times. The Sloth sock fires out from the tube at a random time, which can surprise you, and travels quite fast. If you aren't ready for it, you'll most likely miss. The faster you hit the Sloth sock, the higher the score will be. Once you get points your score is automatically submitted, so the first three times you score will be the three scores you send for that day.

If the Sloth sock falls off the table without being hit, or you hit the table instead of the Sloth sock, it'll be game over for you! Please note that once you get a game over you have to close the window and restart the game. That's right, there's only one try per game, and there's no restart game button.

Splat-A-Sloth also requires a large amount of luck. If you're going for a trophy or just a high score, the Sloth sock will have to be splatted almost BEFORE it comes out of the tube. A good strategy is to pick a number between 1-10 seconds and count to that number. When you get to that number, press the spacebar. If you miss, try again. You won't hit the sock too many times using this strategy, but you'll get a high score if it works! Remember, hitting the sock at the head will get you more points than the bottom as the head comes out first!

Tips:

The Sloth sock can come quite fast, so make sure you're paying close attention to the tube and the table. Close out any instant messaging programs that may pop up messages, but don't worry, the game time averages from 10 seconds to one minute!

Playing with a large screen will make the Sloth sock larger and easier to spot and splat.

However, playing with a smaller screen will make it easier to see the Sloth and look at where to hit him with your Neopian Times. The preference is up to you.

Press down the spacebar partially while the game is loading (a very little amount). You will have a better chance of hitting the sock. If you press down too far, the newspaper will slap down immediately.

No avatar exists for Splat-A-Sloth, but a score of about 299 will earn you a trophy.
