Neolodge.com - ROS Chapter 11: Step 6b - Token Testing

THIS PLOT STEP IS CLOSED. :( The token has already been found.

A new part of The Return Of Dr. Sloth Plot is out!!

1) Visit Kreludor

2) Click on the spaceship at the bottom of the page to get to the Token Testing Facility.

There are four different activities to participate in.

Activity #1 - Heat Test: Create Control Rods

Using the 10 given components, you will need to pick a few of them to create a Nuclear Control Rod. We now know that you will need to pick the rods that contain one particular element, where the total mass of that the element (e.g. Zafarium) in each piece of scrap metal can total up to a particular mass (see chart 1). The best way to get it right is to do an element-by-element calculation (e.g. in a spreadsheet) to find out which are the rods that you need.

Chart 1
Metal Element Needed Mass Metal Element Needed Mass
Dariganium
Faeryllium
Kadoatite
Meridellium
Neopium
5.0 kg
5.3 kg
3.3 kg
0.7 kg
4.4 kg
Slothite
Tikium
Tyrannium
Xweetite
Zafarium
1.1 kg
2.5 kg
3.6 kg
1.9 kg
1.8 kg

Sample Calculation:
Metal Piece #1 is 3.2 kg and has 8.3% of Meridellium
  3.2 kg x 8.3% = 0.2656 kg
Metal Piece #5 is 2.9 kg and has 15.0% of Meridellium
  2.9 kg x 15.0% = 0.4350 kg

Total mass of Meridellium from Metal Piece #1 and #5:
0.2656 kg + 0.4350 kg = 0.7006 kg (round the result to the nearest single decimal)

Activity #2 - Dissolving Test: Create Acid Solutions
Type in a number of seconds for the test to run and wait for it to complete.

Activity #3 - Gravitics Test: Gather singularities
With this one you simply click somewhere on the image and hope for the best.

Sometimes, you'll get sucked into a wormhole and you'll end up in some random place on Neopets.

YRB-X1 "Yurbot" -- *BZZT* Congratulations! You have successfully retrieved a singularity from the Juppie Oaks Singularity Farms® Singrowlarity®-brand singularity-generation field. The singularity will be added to the globally available pool of singularities used in testing Duplicate Space Faerie Tokens.

However, you may not be so lucky.

Click on SEE WHERE I ENDED UP and find out which part of Neopets you have been sent to.

Activity #4 has four separate activities to participate in:

1) (Unless you've got a group of friends to work with) Ask it to choose a random testing station, and engage teleportation. You will be working in a group of 4 for this activity.

2) Your first test will be the Heat Test. Go to Your Puzzle Data while you are at the testing page. You'll see two sets of four numbers, separated by an l . On the second set, take the first number, and move the lever on the page to that number. Do this for all three rounds. Remember though, the numbers do change.

3) The next test is the Dissolving Test. Here, calculate the mililiters of acid you need of the acid assigned to you. Take the total number of liters and multiply by 1000 to convert that volume into mililiters. Then, take the number and multiply by the decimal value of the percentage you need. Just move the decimal two places to the left to convert from percent to decimal. Afterwards, type in the number of mililiters you need and click on the acid you need. Do this for all three rounds.

Acids: (Left to right)
First row: Hydroslothic Acid, Transtyrannic Acid, Meridellic Acid, Flurokadoatic Acid, Cyanofaeryllic Acid
Second Row: Cyanofaeryllic Acid, Perneopic Acid, Zafaric Acid, Tikionic Acid, Xweetic Acid, Oxydariganic Acid

4) The last test is the Gravitics Test. First, place the first black hole on a random spot and record the number underneath it when it turns white. This first number is A. Do the same for the next black hole and record the number. That second number will be B. Then, to find the coordinates of the third black hole, use the following formula:

Coord X = (A^2 - B^2 + 400^2) / 800
Coord Y = Square Root (Absolute (A^2 - X^2) ) rounded to the nearest digit.

There is a +/- 3 accepted error for the third X and Y coordinates, meaning that you can drag the black hole to any value 3 less or 3 more than the value you calculated.

Example: If you calculated (123,56) as the coordinate, the X value can range anywhere from 120-126 and the Y value can range from 53-59.

It might be easier for you to use a spreadsheet than to use a graphing calculator. Remember, you have to figure out the coordinates and drag the third black hole to the right spot in the limited time.
