Single Player Mode: To play this game in the single player mode, the controls are Left arrow key (Rotate left), right arrow key (Rotate right), Up arrow key (Go forward), and the Down arrow key (Go backwards)
Each dubloon is worth a different amount of points. The more points the dubloon yields, the less likely it is to show up. You pick up a dubloon by rowing over it (on top). Each time you pick up a dubloon, mines will appear. The mines will drift towards you. The closer you are to them, the faster they go. From time to time, whirlpools will appear. This will suck everything but the current dubloon on the screen in. To make sure you don't go in, you want to hold down the forwards or backwards key so that you go the opposite direction that the whirlpool is in. Hold the key down until the whirlpool disappears. Destroying The Mines There are a couple of methods that can be uses to destroy the mines. The 1st method, is to get the mines to crash into one another. To do this, navigate the boat around the board until two or more mines are extremely close to each other. When the mines crash into one another, they are destroyed. The second method is to allow the mines to be sucked into the whirlpool. ![]() Remember, for each dubloon you pick up, a mine will be added to the screen. Sometimes there are more mines on the screen than you can handle. Like this (see picture below) When this happens, use the 'cheat' scallywags to clear the playing field. This can only be used once, so be careful.
Tips to Win
![]() Avoid having too many mines in the game at once. There are two ways to get rid of mines:
By crashing them into each other by leading them towards each other. This is tricky though and can take some practice so be careful To create a whirlpool at anytime, type scallywags, but you can only do it once per round, so use it carefully.
