Three Little Words; One Big Picture:

NeoLodge's philosophy can be summed by three simple words that Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and Pixar said in the 1980s to his team: Let's Be Pirates. Our pirates attitude of being separate and unique from the rest has helped NeoLodge become what it is today. Version Prophecy marked a new beginning for NeoLodge, and has since helped change the standard for creativity and innovation for all Neopets related web sites.

NeoLodge is the personal project of close to 1,000 members, 20 staff members, and one owner and lead administrator who possesses no specific talents, but somehow can bring it all together. Since it's founding, NeoLodge has been believed in being different and shining above and beyond the competition. We've based our development on innovation, creativity, and the desire to succeed. We've experienced success, and hardship and have learned from both. We constantly strive to go above and beyond so that we can deliver the best possible experience to our visitors and members.

With a perhaps quirky, but professional nonetheless attitude, NeoLodge continues to grow and to succeed, and has intentions of doing so for the foreseeable future.

Four Score and Seven Years Ago:

NeoLodge's history, though relatively brief, shows a lot about its development as a site, and to what extents a web site can grow (and flourish) with time and experience. The current version of NeoLodge, Version Prophecy was created after the site's owner and lead administrator, Doug, was fired from NeoNewsNow.com by its legal owner. NeoNewsNow had been up for close to a year under Doug's management, and was doing well until the legal owner decided to fire Doug. When the site lost the person who controlled the quality and its development, the site went to ruins. Blah blah.

It Isn't Good Enough:

We're quality obsessed . Seriously, you have no idea. (You see the image of the Darigan Toy above? We're so intent on everything being perfect that we saved the image to our servers and modified the image so that the tail could face away from the text. We did something similar with the image below and to the right, too.). Oh, and almost everything on NeoLodge.com is 100% WSC Compliant Coding Strict. Case closed.

Team NeoLodge:

The team at NeoLodge is very possibly a team like no other. By reading our staff blogs, one can tell our "pirates" attitude allows us to ignore things that other sites consider important such as a strict definition of job duties, bureaucracy, fitting in, and frequent swabbing of the decks. Certainly not pun, sarcasm, or humor free, the team at NeoLodge belives that enjoying what they do and of course having fun while doing it is something that's extremely important. The team is focused on providing NeoLodge's visitors with the best possible content and experience, and they have yet to stop working to improve upon the improved. Revisions until perfection is common, and in the long run, it's a big benefit for the visitor.

The team at NeoLodge consists of more than 20 people will skills in all different areas including web site design and coding, programming, content writing, graphic design and development, moderation, and newsposting, and management, among other things. Nearly every department at NeoLodge has its own leader who manages the team's overall progress, development, and hiring of new team members.
